daaaaaamn is this tour FUN.  i don’t know if it’s because we haven’t toured in so long or if it’s because we’re headlining and the shows are ridiculously crazy. Orrr if it’s the fact that we all went through some impossible times and now that we’re all completely out of them, we’ve re-connected as a band and having the time of our lives.  whatever it is, don’t care… im loving every second of it.  And i should say, this is the best time to see ML.  I’ve always felt that the best time to see my favorite bands was either during or right after some major band turmoil/drama.  Those were the types of shows that you could feel the band about to derail or see just how legit they really were/are when they’ve come out of it.  I remember when I was a kid seeing Sublime just days before  Bradley died.  They’re to date one of my favorite bands and Bradley had one of the best voices i’ve ever heard.  Sublime’s whole vibe, lyrically, musically etc was AMAZING.  And I find a lot of similarities with the way he looked at/lived his life and the way I do. You know, the cliches - live every day as if it’s your last, full throttle, experience everything you possibly can and feel it all 110% - the highs AND the lows.  and most importantly try to surround yourself with the best vibes, people, and situations possible.  Negativity is like a virus.  It gets under your skin and if you let it, it will run/ruin your life.  You’ll find yourself complaining about random shit all the time, focusing on the dude that wouldn’t let you in his lane instead of the dude that DID.  and slowwwwwllllyyyyy… you will become that asshole.  There will always be people that come into your life, flip it upside down and then peace out.  There will always be people who try to take advantage of you, talk shit, blah blah blah.   They’re a dime a dozen (actually there were a decent handful of them on warped last year!).  But they only exist as much as you recall them in your mind.  See the human brain is riveting.  The neo-cortex is essentially like your control tower.  Everything comes in through the neo-cortex and it “witnesses” all that stuff.  But until people, places, situations etc. actually make it down to the cerebrum (the learning/working part of the brain) - they don’t exist.  If you reflect on something it becomes real to you.  If you obsess over it, it becomes a part of who you are.  Otherwise, it just passes through your neo-cortex and disappears forever.  Having said that, if you focus on positive things, good vibes, good people and really focus on them..  it becomes real and consequently becomes a part of who you are.  Anyhow, I don’t know what im talking about anymore..  how about just enjoy yourself and if you’re anywhere near an ML show you really should come hang out.  Weeeeez on fire son!   ooh and big shout outs to Ryan Manno (who hosts JBTV with my amazing girlfriend Jenna Martinelli, woot woot.. as well is out here filming/documenting the tour as part of our crew) and Jamie Pham (of absolutepunk.net fame) who is also part of our crew doing everything from guitar/stage tech to updating/running all things ML online.  And of course our one and only TM/FOH gentleman Bababooooooeyy.  Best crew on the circuit xoxo
